The reflection of my footprint…

 

I didn’t know how big social media was until i got more information about what is happening in social media world…I only used social networks unprofessionally…I didn’t know that everything you contribute online stays there forever,everything you do online leaves a digital footprint…I really wasn’t aware of this…So i learned so much things about what to do and what not to do when you on social media…. My behaviour and respect towards other people have to be positive….

I thoughtfully manage my footprint meaning that…I am thinking before i do or contribute anything on social networks…So my footprint really reflected to reality…I do things as proffesional as possible…

If i were suddenly famous…

Mostly famous people are not living real lives…They are not who they say they are….If i were famous…I would live my life positively…Because i realised that most of the famous people especially celebrities are not living real lives…I would be a positive role model to the young ones…

I would just live a normal life and take everyone equally…Because we are all human beings…. They have this kind of mindset of wanting to live a different lives from others…Living in big houses,driving luxury cars,spending big money on big things while at the same time they don’t need those things forgetting their friends,families and also forgetting who they are…

So i will only choose to be myself…

The importance of thinking ahead before posting online…

 

It is very important to take a good thinking before you post online because what you contribute or share online leaves a digital or personal footprint…Be safe when online…Never give out personal information…Your addresses,Your exact birthdays and so on…

Posting secrets online can lead to a serious repercussions…Don’t share damaging information about yourself and never share embarrassing story that you don’t want to recall…

Don’t live a lie when you online..That lead to the fact of stealing other people’s work..Be as true as possible but like i said…Never ever post something that you don’t want other people to see…

Irresponsible actions leads to serious repercussions….

REGRET

“Learn to live with regret rather than to live without it”…Digitally i do have regrets in my life…Acting irresponsible or being careless can bring so much hatred and so much pain to people around you even to yourself too…There are many things or actions that you take not being aware what will the results be at the end of the day…

We all make mistakes and the good thing about it is that we learn from those mistakes..They say “Nobody is perfect” and i say…that is a great excuse when you have done something wrong but as like i have said ..We have to learn to live with regret rather than to live without it….

Don’t ever i mean never let your mistakes affect you…Regret less and go for what you want…It can be a challenge but don’t back down from any challenge…Sitting down with your head faced down feeling sorry for yourself it isn’t a solution to a problem…

“Stop feeling sorry for yourself,Grab the edge of the knife and take a stand”

 

My Social Media Course from day one till now….

The love of  Media…That is the reason i’m here now…I have learned so much since day one until now…I didn’t have much information until i was introduced to this course…I fell inlove with this course since from the start…It is much fun and truly speaking or can i say truly blogging ha! ha! ha! I didn’t know what Twitter was and i wasn’t aware that you can use a facebook i mean a facebook as a profession…

Coming to my favorite App Twitter…It is much more fun,fast and much easier to connect with different individuals from all different parts of the world and you can use it as a profession too…

There are loads of apps that i have now…Email,Blog/Wordpress…You can use a blog to share your views,stories and relate with other people from different places…I have Vimeo,Youtube account,Google and Google+…

I have what we call Instagram which is more interesting…It’s a photo facebook it is an application whereby you can edit your images…And also a Pinterest…It’s an application that allows you to see how many people are using social media in the world…Fun hey isn’t it?

Linkedin…This app is so powerful…You connect with big companies,You can advertise,and you can do a jobhunting at the same time…

 

The effects and the influence of the community i come from

There criminal activities that are happening around in my community…And also alcohol abuse,teenage pregnancy, drugs and all that kind of behaviour…So i can say that these kinds of social issues that can affects me…And also we have what we call negative role models but i don’t let these behaviour affects me in any way…The reason being that…”I am me” and i am the change to myself

Coming to an influence…I think it does influence me in a way i tell myself that i have to lead by example..I have to be a positive role model to young ones..

So yeah that’s how i see my community………

OuR DiScUsSiOn tHiS mOrNinG:Re-dEfiNinG our AttiTUdE

How we as youth or as an individual can re-define or change our own attitude and again how can we change the way the community sees things…This helps us to know or figure out who we are and what we exactly want and important thing is that how can we relate to others…

Alright  coming to the point of how can i change my attitude..Firstly RESPECT…I have to respect myself so that others can also know how to respect me..And it is also important to respect someone younger than me so that they can too…

That leads to changing the way the community sees things…MORALS…That comes to principles of right and wrong in behavior…Leading by example is needed…We have to be positive role models to the young ones…There are wrong doings that we young adults do and not being aware of them when we around the young ones..We are the ones to blame as we are the leaders…

There is this saying that goes like this:Actions Speaks Louder than words…Simple meaning that if i want something to be done i have to take a stand…And that takes us back to leading by example…

 

We can beat these challenges

Youth of today are facing poverty,drugs,alcohol abuse,aids and unwanted pregnancy but are quitting school,having unprotected sex.There is a high number of unemployed youth.But i think we are the one to blame as we want to sit back and wait for everything to happen all by itself.

So the question is,How can we beat these challenges?,…we can’t….unless we take a stand and stop feeling sorry for ourselves.

Where i am at, At the moment

I still don’t believe that i would have been here now,I thought i had no directions until i joined social media course that i’m in now,It is under our lovely lecturer Valencia Jacobs,I thought that i won’t have something like this as i don’t have money to study but that wasn’t true.When opportunity presents itself you have to grab it with both hands and that what i did.

I want to be someone in the future,I want to be an independent person one day.I don’t want to disappoint my lecturer but to make her proud because if it wasn’t about her i would have not been here

I’m a proudly WIP champion now and it’s all thanks to my friend Rori who introduced me to this program ,I’m studying a social media,I’m learning more about social networks such as Twitter,Facebook,and so forth,So i’m more than happy to be here,big up WIP keep up a good work.

MY WAY HOME FROM W.I.P

What i see on my way home from my workshop which is WIP,are different people from different cultures, but what’s grabbing my attention is that there is a high number of unemployed youth who are running up and down all over the place doing nothing important.

Many young people are dropping out from school  after that they are doing drugs,alcohol abuse and that leads to criminal activities,So what i think can be done to change what i see is that,these individuals must be encouraged to join some of the organisations to keep them away from wrong doings.
